We believe that adults should avoid making reading a competition or a chore for children. Recognize that learning to read is simple for some people but difficult and frustrating for others. Explain to children that some people will need to put in more effort than others; this is true in many areas of life.
It has long been the practice in our library to foster reader communities that celebrate literacy in all of its forms — visual, textual, emotional, informational, and so on. Include every child in our happy, inquisitive, and literate community. It is critical that the future depends on it.
የህጻናትን የንባብ ባህል በፍቅር ና በጥበብ እናሳድግ፡፡
ወላጆች ማንበብና ማጥናት አድካሚና አሰልቺ ውይም ደግሞ ለትምህርት ቤት ፈተና ብቻ የሚጠቅም መሆኑን ለህዕጻናት ከማስረዳት መቆጠብ አለባቸው ብለን እናምናለን። ማንበብ መማር ለአንዳንድ ሰዎች ቀላል ቢሆንም ለሌሎች ግን መሆኑን ይገንዘቡ። አንዳንድ ሰዎች ከሌሎቹ የበለጠ ጥረት ማድረግ እንደሚያስፈልጋቸው ለልጆች ያስረዱ፤ ይህ በብዙ የሕይወት ዘርፎች እውነት ነው።
ዕውቀትን በሁሉም መልኩ የሚያከብሩ አንባቢ ማህበረሰቦችን ማዳበር በቤተ መፃህፍታችን ውስጥ ለረጅም ጊዜ ሲተገበር ቆይቷል – ምስላዊ ፣ ጽሑፋዊ ፣ ልቦለዳዊ ፣ መረጃ ሰጭ እና የመሳሰሉት። ደስተኛ ና ጠያቂ ማህበረሰባችን ክፍል ውስጥ እያንዳንዱን ህጻን ያካቱ። የወደፊቱ በእሱ ላይ የተመሰረተ መሆኑ በጣም ግልጽ ነውና፡፡
